Well I persisted and bought another GX derailleur against my better judgement and two rides in this happens.

B screw has somehow bent to buggery and when I tried to remove It the head snapped off. So now I'm stuck with this situation. Any ideas how to get this out. I doubt this will be covered by warranty but I've emailed them anyway in the hope they might come to the party.

This deraileur was sold for cheap on ebay and after I bought three of them they showed this serious fault of design at the bscrew.
The solution used above is way too complicated but effective. I would not use this on the ebike, though.
This is my hardtail, its been working fine for two years.

As per how to remove the one that is damaged, a dremel tool or a blade saw to cut it and thread it out or drill through it.

As above, cut it off before the bend of possible, it might snap off but that might leave a rough edge, it looks as though there's just enough sticking out on the right to get some purchase with pliers or similar, then with some WD40 to help you should be able to unscrew it.
