Hi there everyone

We just found this site, my wife and I are loving the mountain bike and now we found “E” bikes

Wow ......

So our bikes are for sale and we’re doing our research on which bike.

This is harder than picking a non E bike

Anyhow we will keep reading here and hopefully learn from you guys

Welcome and good luck! Test ride as many as you can, especially with the different motors, as they each have a different feel.

Hi Julio

Yes I have found that
We ronde the trek with the Bosch and a giant with a Shimano I think
The Shimano felt more smooth to apply at slow speed but not as strong up top like the bosch

It’s all confusing with so many very similar products at similar prices

Welcome Dale and Katie, good to see more Aussies coming on board. As Julio already mentioned try and ride as many as you can, all the bikes you mentioned are good, comes down to how it feels for you.

If you are looking at the Merida then definitely look at the Giant Trance E range, for me it came down to a choice between those two and in the end i picked the Giant... mainly due to the integrated battery look :) I dont regret my decision one bit

The Giant does look good, However the Merdia offers the electric gear section and a nicer fork and shock

Even pushing up and down on them both the Merida with the Kashmia coating feels smoother, Ive used these coatings on my dirt bikes, it really works well.

I looked at the Rocky Mountain Altitude 70 tonight

WOW what a cool machine but there 50% more in price....

We will buy something this weekend when we do test rides

The Norco is something else I looked at today, it has a 600 Watt battery which would be good too but again these are 50% dearer than the Merida and almost double the Giant or Trek product

Anyone got anything else we should look at. ?

Such as any direct online manufactures ?
