Hi Everyone. After doing a few demo days and local hires I picked up a Merida e160 900e. Talk about a value for money bike!

Ebikes have reignited my passion for mtn biking after my old riding buddies moved interstate. Its crazy the joy I get conquering hill climbs that I would never bother to attempt on my old analogue machine, especially without the peer pressure that comes with riding with your mates. Now my best friend is a Shimano e8000, quickly followed by my wife, kids and dogs =p

Welcome mate. Tassie is the place to go serious MTB-ing.

Is Blue Derby open for e-MTB bikes? On my wishlist for next trip down there.

Thanks guys,

Lad, E-Bikes are indeed permitted on the Derby trails. There is also at least one company up there has a fleet of Trek E-bikes available to hire.

There is also a gravity park at a place called Maydena, which is a few hours West of Hobart that is highly regarded and welcoming of E-bikes - if you are heading to the south of the state as well.
