Hi guys. Great to find a spot with so many like minded nubies and pros. I m currently looking at the 2019 cube stereo 160 action pro. My buddy is trying to talk me into a 2019 levo carbon comp. Had a small carpark ride on a cube (size too big) and a basic levo and found the cube light years ahead, personal pref only.
Like I've read elsewhere on here, so excited and I haven't even committed yet... but I know I will .

I've ridden both. The cube is like a rhino on rollerskates and the levo a ballerina. Sure, much better spec on the cube, but I'm not sure everyone would notice the spec difference or need them. If you just plough through stuff, then sure the cube will do it. If you want to be lively and pick lines then the cube is really really hard work and makes the levo seem very agile.

Thanks, i did read the similar on here and it seems to be the consensus but i suppose it comes to how I'm going to use it and my skill or lack of more like it.
Is the motor the same on the specialised range. I only ask as I could only test in the carpark at the time and on the basic levo (even in turbo) struggled to pop a basic wheelie as the bike was so heavy and the motor didn't kick in quick enough, but on the cube it was right there even though its 2.5kg heavier .. thanks

Went out for a ride last week with a few other members & There was 3 spesh out with us. One went home early because crashed, the next one kept having a problem with his rear disc brake & his sensor fell off, so assist kept cutting out, the third had to keep tightening bits of his bike up during the ride because it was falling apart.
BUT THEY DID LOOK LIKE BALLERINA'S ?

Let me just add..... there were 2 cubes... one trek... one thok mig...2 focus jam 2...one lappierre & none of us had any problems..........
But I do agree, buying an over priced, under specced, MTB does seem to be the trend, so go ahead and buy a specialized.......OR use a bit of common sense & buy something with a far better spec, much more reliable, but maybe not quite as nimble, but much cheaper.......and in my opinion far better value for money MTB than any specialized.......
So in conclusion, buying any bike apart from the specialized, would be a better option.....but if you just want to say....I've got a specialized then buy one, because they always seem to have a reason why they don't want the better spec bike.....for less money

I hope this has been helpful Tony C

But in the end Tony C, buy what you want...not what others tell you to buy...... your the only one that you have got to please ?????

Hmm, not quite accurate. My rear rotor came loose because I'd not torque it enough tight. So without the correct tool we tried to knock it tight with a screwdriver and a stone and inadvertently knocked the sensor off that I'd make shift glued on because using centre lock discs. Specialized fault, not one bit. The other was rider error and fell off, bike didn't fail and the third, the dude didn't tighten up the battery bolt and flew so high it shook it loose.

None of these can be used to influence a user's decision on a multiple thousand pound bike, because they weren't failures.

Also these ballerinas spent way more time in the air doing twirls and looking pretty than glued to the floor
