Well that's up to the bike manufacturers. The problem with bigger batteries is that they are heavier and most of the time don't really give you more range than the smaller ones. A bosch 625 has the more usable Wh than a 700 bmz battery.

Yeah but when is it going to be available and which manufacturers will be using it...

If it's been ridden then it can't be that long but why no details on any bike manufacturers websites?

People in germany with connections to dealers say that you can order from 1. September and some apparently did place pre orders but I doubt that there will be much stock right away.

My understanding is the launch was delayed firstly due to Covid as there was supposed to be a big press launch at one of the European bike festivals, and now there are delays with getting the motors out, also likely due to covid.

Commencal going live on August 31 with their 2021 models with the new motor. They have advised pre orders from 31/8 and stock will be shipped two weeks later from their warehouse in Sydney for us in Australia.

Must be like my new meta 29. They have to sit in quarantine for 2 weeks after they land in shore. Then commencal distribute them in order of purchase. I bought one of the remaining 5 metas and that only pushed my back a couple of days. They shipped it in a day. Good comunication. They gave me a heads up on the quarantine

I'm digging this company. Was always between the YT and Levo. After a few emails back and forth the Commencal is a clear favourite now. Local distribution here in Aus, can take it to any Bike Shop for service and warranty, great communication when I have contacted them etc etc etc.

Did anyone ever get to the bottom of whether it could be swapped out with the E7000 / E8000? Would be a nice uograde to look at in time.
