Just rang my home insurance (more than) who said to put my e bike on the insurance in and away from the home it would be an additional £350 for the year. This is more than my car insurance ???.

So I'm sure it's been brought up before but at this current time is there anywhere anyone recommends. Its a £2000 e bike. I thought it would have been about £60 for the year ?.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ?

I cancelled my home insurance policy with Santander as they wanted a fortune. Got it for around the same price with cover for mine and my partners ebikes with Halifax.

If you can change your home insurance, that's probably the cheapest way. I've had numerous bikes on Aviva, and it's always been easy/cheap. They just want to know the most expensive bike you own, and they'll cover all your household bikes (at home and away) for up to that amount.

Aye, if it's unreasonable change the insurance to someone else.

My old company wouldn't insure ebikes at all. My current home insurance policy (Lloyds bank insurance) adds on two £2,200 ebikes for a total of just £40 a year and they don't have lots of limitations and requirements like some of the more specialist bike insurance policies do. I can't believe it is so cheap.
