Meh - bugger the acceptance. People have had over 100 years to get used to the idea ....

Blimey, 125 years ago and even then they knew e-bikers were going to be fat and lazy ! - Look at that double rimmed/twin tyred back wheel !!!

I'm 61. i spent the last year on the couch really struggling with motivation after some life changing things happened. My EMTB has got me fired up to get out and get moving. If I had no assistance to get up and down the hills before, during and after the main area I want to go, I would not go. I find it fun if I run out of battery with 1/2 an hour to get home, to notice the difference in the effort required.

It is more fun the get my exercise at 30 - 40 kph than 5 - 10.

I have practised my responses to negativity towards assisted riding but this has only happened between my ears and never with another rider. If it did, I think the best response would be (as mentioned earlier) to ask about the validity of a 24 speed over a ten speed over a single speed rider. But this issue has never come up. No to me in person.

Perhaps because they can't catch me . . .
