Not the best looking IMO

Cube - Supplied with free beer goggles ... :)

I don't mind it, though I think for some reason I'm starting to like those cube colours - maybe they're designed to subliminally appeal to colour blind people like me. ?! Cunning..

The downtube possibly looks a little visually heavy ? Just needs some stripes round it ... :)

looking for a hardtail with integrated battery and good range so depending on price it will be a choice between reaction hybrid EX 625 or EXC 625
The EXC has Suntour front air shock instead of coil and more travel at 120mm. It also uses Shimano gears instead of SRAM. I’ve had experience of both makes of gears and I just find Shimano to be a little smoother and perhaps more reliable.

Can anyone explain the differences in the new CUBE hardtail top tube designs? There are bikes with more conventional horizontal tubes, some heavily slanted and now some with no top tube at all. What are the benefits / drawbacks of the different designs. Some even resemble shopping bikes ?

I would also go for the one with boost rear axle. The ex does not have one if I remember well.

The lower = the better when it comes to top tubes.
On a road bike you can put a foot down either side.
In trails you have no clue where is the ground it might be way down so you hit the top tube because they designed it too high.

Cool ?
What is the advantage of a boost rear axle?
Often Boost is associated with + bikes. With wide rims and wide tires they offer more grip.
With the added power more grip is better if you ask me.
It keeps the chain from rubbing on the tire.
On 40 mm rims i can do things i could not do on tiny rims.

Interesting. Boost seems very important. Fortunately both the 2020 EX and EXC hardtails have boost axles. I’ve almost narrowed it down now to one bike.
Reaction Hybrid EX 625 for me
Access Hybrid EX 625 for the misses.

Hers in a colour called “Titan and Berry”
Apparently Titan is a moon of Saturn and has a kind of gold colour to it ?

Now that the details of the new bikes are out we will start to see the prices from the various stockists.
So far in UK I’ve only managed to find the price of the Reaction Hybrid Pro 500 (2020) for £2099
This is £100 less than the equivalent model from last year. A good sign so far ??

Prettier than the outgoing models, but I think I prefer how Whyte have gone with the battery in front of the motor rather than above it - that will make a big difference in terms of the vertical COG. That knocking sounds more like more cable rattle to me - if it is the motor making that noise it ain't going to last long!

I’ve ordered the Stereo SL 695 29. What’s is you thoughts on this one? (Black/green combo) RRP 4199.

Trying to get in through the cycle2work scheme! 30% off.

Looks like they no longer make a Sting / Womens version.
I wanted to get a 12 or 140mm bike for my wife. I don't think that 29 inch wheels are really appropriate as she is not the tallest.
