Cost of charging battery

I stopped for lunch in a cafe recently and asked if I could put my battery on charge while I was there. The owner let me but she was a little worried about the cost of the electricity. Somewhere in the back of my mind I think I remember hearing a couple of years ago that it was around 15p an hour so I tossed a couple of quid in her tip jar. Anyone know the approximate cost of recharging batteries?

About 7 or 8p for a 500 Wh battery on average (~15p per kWh) so generous but worth it!
