Gorilla tape glue softens with sealant (Stans and Joe's) and glue goo sticks to the rim in nasty way... Plus after a long while (several months) small amount of sealant starts to leak slowly trough the tape from nipple holes. This can cause nipple corrosion. Best combo that I have tried is Tesa 4289 and Caffelatex tubeless strip. Tesa is good tubeless tape on its own but in this combo I use narrow Tesa tape to cover nipple holes to give tubeless strip addtional support.

OMG! I never knew that! The workshop guys at Sherwood Pines bike shop recommended it to me, because its what they use. Next time I'm there I'll have a word.
