Btw, the Renthal chainring is not an exact fit. Be careful what chainring you mount. The Shimano has flat edges that mate perfectly to their spider.

Was looking into this subject to try out a 32T ring, after speaking to YT and Shimano, the chainrings are specific to the spider which is specific to the motor axle, and Shimano only makes 34T-44T, also shimano said motor/software is not designed to configure torque to less than 34T.

Anyone gotten an aftermarket chainring to work? Sounds like a no go.
