So who wants to bump up the travel on their Wild FS and make the suspension for progressive?

Travel goes from 160mm to 165mm and 34% progression.

Sod the Wild, the Rise is far more popular and in desperate need of a link ;)

Well that sucks for you then…..lol

All kidding aside, a Rise is a possibility but I couldn’t see it happening before the end of the year. Unless someone drops off a Rise with them for a few weeks to design a prototype and test fit it. Plus they are extremely busy.
It was just a fluke with perfect timing to get this one made.

I also wouldn’t say it’s far more popular, you’d be surprised how many Wild FS’s Orbea has sold globally.

Managed to get the link installed on my bike tonight and finally instead the 180mm air shaft I had.
Can’t wait to get the bike for a rip this weekend.

Anyone interested should contact Cascade Components. I’ll be able to provide a little riders feedback after the weekend.

do you have any info on how the link changes the geo of the bike compared to stock? or is there no change?

That is about what I figured they’d reply with. They don’t offer it yet because I have the only prototype in existence at the moment and I just started riding it. I would give it a month.

I did get out on a short 8km ride tonight for about 40mins of riding and 500m of descending. So far I’m really liking how it feels but will hold of giving any solid feedback till I have a few more rides on it.

Plan on doing a 25km ride Sunday with about 1000m of elevation mostly black and double black diamond trails.

So far I have two rides on my bike with the new link and I can say that I'm extremely happy with it. Bike has more mid stroke hold up and seems to track better.
I did a 24km ride yesterday and really noticed the the different in the steep rough stuff, definitely more bottom out resistance.

As far as having them available to sell, I talked with Cascade and they just want me to put a little more time on this one. After that they'll probably make a small production run, so in roughly a month or two they'll have some available to sell.

As far as the geo goes, that link doesn't really change the stock geo numbers, but it you're running a coil shock you might need to go up a little in spring rate to account for the added leverage the link has. My bike was slightly over-sprung to help counter it from bottoming out when riding in rough terrain, so now it feels perfect.
