Bottle cage options!

Hey all,

Got my e180 arriving in a weeks time and just wanted to check other Whyte owners bottle cage thoughts?
I’m thinking side load will make the most sense but any top choices out there?
Maybe the Lezyne, Whyte Switch side load, or specialised Zee 2....

Any help and pics most welcome!

Does that need the specific bottle every time tho?

I use a Spesh Zee2 on my e160 in large. It’s cramped in there so side load is your only option really, along with a shorter bottle. Which ever you choose make sure it doesn’t hinder access to the charge port.

I was using a Whyte 500ml bottle in a Whyte Switch cage. I'm now running a 500ml Decathlon bottle because it comes with a cap to keep the top clean.

I use fidlock with the small bottle its quite expensive but it is a really secure system I spent 2 days at Bike Park Wales with no issues

Ghetto double barrel

One tiny bottle is not of any use to me.
I have been using a 3 litre camelbak.
I wanted to try getting rid of the camelbak and so I made a prototype double bottle cage.
The "standard" size bottles overhang the big fat ebike downtube by about 24mm each side.
I moved them up and away from the cranks to give clearance.
I have tried this layout on a variety of tracks including some that are very technical.
I have not found that these get in the way.
If I lower the seat fully, sit down and pedal with my knees drawn in (not natural) then I can touch the bottles.
With this layout, I can't operate shock controls with the bottles in place but I am not concerned about that.
The prototype is a bit crude but adequate for testing.
It is just a triangular piece of wood that I bolted two cheap bottle cages to.
I added a strap of tape around the downtube since two full bottles placed away from the bottle cage mounts seemed like they may have too much leverage.
