Post up pics of your bikes from back in the day, just to kick things off :)

I am probably barking mad but dragged the original all mountain endure out for a ride today. Circa 2004, 170mm bombers, Odis; Formula brakes. View attachment 15921
So after 10 years replaced the brakes and serviced the suspension and it has been smashing Les Gets this week! But I have had a few funny and admiring looks this week. Those old 66s feel better than my Rockshox revolutions so I might not leave it so long before the next service.

Surprising lack of bar ends so far guys! :ROFLMAO:

Sadly I don’t have any photos of my “first time round” bikes (a late 80s steel Peugeot and an early 90s alloy Raleigh Kalahari) as both were stolen relatively shortly after I got them. Maybe there is one lurking in my parents loft somewhere though...

Where ever
Had this when they first came out, done thousands of miles on it and had it for about 22 years. It was part of me. Sold it 5 years ago to get my first Ebike. Wish I had the room to have kept it.

My first mtb was a Kona Kula in August 2008. That was my "back in the day". This was shortly after purchase.
Note the bar ends, two mudguards, under saddle tool bag, bottle, bike computer, bell, and the gel saddle. It was a 3x9.

This was one of the pics I took when I was selling it in late 2015.
Note the dropper seat post, double and bash (2x9), continuous outer gear cables, proper saddle and no bar ends. Still had the bike computer though).

I loved that bike and I would still have it if a good mate hadn't persuaded me to sell it to him for one of his four boys for Xmas. He was suddenly in hospital and couldn't come to collect it, so I packed it up and posted it to him. But the poor sod died before he could pay me. I didn't have the heart to chase his widow. :(
