Anyone tried riding their E-150/E-160 2021 as mullet? Im thinking with the Shape It Link you could raise the BB on the E-150 29er to accomodate for a 27.5 rear wheel or lower the BB on the E-150 to accomodate for a 29 front wheel.

Would be interesting to hear you guys thoughts.

Been thinking about doin this with my E150 by changing to some 160zebs with a 29er front wheel then using the shape it link to bring the bb back down but it would be a quite expensive experiment for me on a bike which already handles fantastic

Can’t see why you’d put a smaller wheel on the new e150. Surely if you wanted the feel of 27.5 you’d have bought an e160 and vice versa? Can see the point in last years but going to 160 and 29er is a pretty big step.
Last week I changed the air spring in my 2020 150mm lyrik to the 2021 160mm version. Combination of getting rid of the excessive sag and 10mm more travel has raised the bars by 20mm. Add a 29er wheel to that and that’s another load of height.
Mulleted my plus bike last winter as I wanted a narrower front to deal with mud better, but apart from that didn’t notice much difference. Have also ridden a Merida e bike which is mullet back to back with mine on the same loop and tbh I couldn’t really tell any difference due to wheel size.

I tired a mullet on my Whyte E180, went to 160mm travel 29er forks on the front instead of 180mm 27.5 so you ended up with the same A2C, so the extra height was in the wheels only.

Personally didn't rate it, seemed very slow to turn in, didn't notice any real improvement in grip and went back to 27.5 after a few hours of testing.

I know the designer of the bike has been experimenting so maybe we will se an official mullet version at some point which I sure would be better.
