So here are the true rumours that we know as fact (from the rumours thread). SO these are now the facts, no longer rumours. I have picked out all the stuff so we can keep it in one place.

2019 Turbo Levo S-Works

Specialized are about to launch an all new 2019 Levo on the 18th September. Below are the full confirmed details.

2019 Turbo Levo Comp

2019 Levo Comp in Sand

The bike should feel significantly different to the 2018, with revised geometry, lighter weight and longer travel. The pricing has increased by approximately 12% across the range, so expect to be paying out a lot more dollars in return for what looks like the worlds most advanced EMTB.

Pictures have been leaking over the past few days and we are now in a position where we have an excellent idea of the bike, down to the exact specification of the Expert and S-Works model.

2019 Turbo Levo Comp

2019 Levo Comp in Sand

A few standouts that are worth calling out are the move to 29" wheels, an all new, asymmetric frame based on the 2019 Stumpjumper, an all new display on the top tube showing battery and motor modes (photo has been removed), all new way of integrating the battery into the downtime (sliding it inside the tube). The battery will be 700 Wh on the Expert and S-Works models, and 500 Wh on the other models.

Only the S-Works and Expert level are getting the increased battery. All in the range will get the new 2.1 motor. The 700 Wh battery WILL fit into all the models. So you can buy a Comp and later a 700 Wh battery.

The new 2.1 motors are the Brose Drive S Mag motors. These offer a 15% smaller size and Specialized are mentioning an 11% weight saving.

[Edited to update the battery, and 2.1 motor confirmed on all models.]

2019 Levo Expert

2019 Expert with 150mm RockShox Pike. New frame, with battery fully integrated into the tube, inserted from the bottom of the frame.

From Specialized:
"The Customized 2.1 Rx custom trail-tuned engine is 11% lighter than its predecessor. This puts it at the peak in terms of EMTB motor technology. It has many other features that no other electric bike can boast, such as instant operation, fantastic heat management, double free pinion design that disengages the gearbox when you reach maximum speed and a silent, smooth and even output, even at maximum power"

"The new turbo specialized battery m2-series has 700wh capacity providing 40% more capacity and range, and even more power to travel more trails. And of course, it fits perfectly into the frame and is easily removed."

"The design includes our 29 trail Geometry that features a low bottom bracket, long top tube and short stem. The kinematics of the frame has also been perfected, with the necessary stiffness. The cable guidance is completely internal, including that of the Post Command Post IR, the battery is completely integrated into the down tube, while the minimalist motor is mounted in a more secure way and is lighter than ever."

That command post is going straight onto eBay to try and recoup some of the frankly outrageous cost of the bike

£7000 on the expert model. I mean....I just could never justify it as a working family man. Most I can ever think of justifying for a bike is about £3500 personally. I thought the prices of these things would start to come down, not go the other way. :/

So get the Alloy base or the Comp Alloy or the Comp Carbon.

They all have the new motor and new battery design it would seem, but based on the evidence presented on this forum from the comp on down all will have less watt hours.

I won't be due an upgrade for about 2 years. Just really hope in 2 years I can get a nice full suspension e bike with a 60 mile trail setting range for £3500. That's what I'm hoping for ?

It’s all fiction until it becomes fact.

Just imagine what will come from the big S in another 3 years. Just imagine what other manufacturers will come out with.

It’s fact at this point. A lot of us dealers have been sitting on the details for weeks. Some longer.

Interesting..... Seems to be closely following the 2019 Stumpjumper 29.

I’ve got an order in for the Expert.... but I might be tempted to keep the Ohlins RXF 36 instead of the Pike. I think that I’ve finally worked the Ohlins out.... Thoughts? I will probably do more Enduro racing next year and my thoughts are that the Ohlins will be better for this.

It’s definitely a very good improvement. List of things I’m really happy with:

- LED’s. Been saying it from day 1 that it needs a visual indication of motor power and battery. I really like that they’ve added a discrete way of doing it.
- Lower top tube so you can drop the saddle more, on the 2018 XL i find when fully dropped it’s quite high even with saddle in the lowest position.
- Brose Mag S motor. E*POWAH!!!
- 40% more range. Hello 100KM rides.

In fact I’m doing the London to Brighton on 23rd September. That’s 75 miles. Wonder if it’d make it?

I seriously doubt that.
I suspect that Alloy Comp and Carbon Comp will use same old frames with 1.3 motor and 500W as used in the LEVO HT 2019. On top of that, they will probably downgrade some components. That did the same thing with LEVO HT 2019 and 500 EUR lower price.
They could do the some thing with FSR, lowering the price for Comp models (cheaper components) and lifting the price for Expert and S-works.
So basically, if my budget is Alloy Comp or maaaaybe Carbon Comp, I will be buying old model with cheaper components and saving maybe 300 EUR....
In that case I was thinking, better to buy HT Comp 2019, with the same motor and battery, thrash it around for year or two, put the rest of the money away(BTC) and then will see what is what in 2020.
Fingers crossed, that I'm completely wrong on everything I wrote just now.

Any details on colours yet?
Oil Slick Chameleon Tint /Silver / Carbon for S-Works.

Expert you have the one in the picture above. I’d expect the Expert in 2 colours. Blue/red like current 2019 Kenevo likely being one of them (from the deleted pics that we saw).

Any news on head angle ? Should we guess 66.5 if thats what the 2019 Stumpy is. Is there a flip chip to slacken it ?

That command post is going straight into the bin

my theory is that Spez has locked in market for thier CP.....as it comes as standard. Unlike Rockshock Reverb or KS that actually has to be good for ppl to buy them.

owned 2x KS, 1xReverb, 2xCP (came with bike)...the CP is absolute dog shite...and wants to kill my balls

The reverb/KS on the other hand were buttery smooth action and bombproof

I shall keep my short cranks TX22 and OneUp dropper post to one side.

If any one is interested in the rest of my 2017 S-Works Levo then it will be for sale in due course.
