Does say that a phone app will be available soon, it's been a while since it was last updated,and I don't think it will be too long before 3rd party apps are available, I would think Shimano would prefer owners to use their app rather than one which allows you to change things that they would rather you didn't

3rd party apps already around, and discussed on here. I’ve used one to lower eco power output

So basically the only difference between the current version and this is that you'll also get a "low/med/high" option for ECO like we already have for TRAIL and BOOST? At least, that's what I get from this post.

E-TUBE ios app now updated to allow you to change eco mode
I had a look last night, I did not apply the firmware update

Checked then E-TUBe values in eMax app

Low eco = 20% assist, 30mm torque
Med eco = 40% assist, 30nm torque
High eco = 60% assist, 30nm torque

So the high eco is same as old fixed eco mode was.

Tried the new settings for the first time today.

Initially had eco in low but it wasn't quite enough for me so changed it to medium, even though my fitness is improving I managed to get 45.8 miles before the bike only let me have eco, pretty good on the internal Focus battery I think.
