That would have to be the most retarded thing I have watched. Windex window cleaner works best. Lubes up nicely, with a great balance of slip and grip, and leaves no sticky residue. ?
Once you start blowing compressed air up under the hood, it’s a recipe for disaster and perhaps even tearing the end off. ?

Use the compressed air for removal and it avoids the knife slice thru the bar surface and potential for cutting oneself. Oh well  ...to each his own and it does look like they are having fun.
Note: apply compressed air into the handlebar's opposite end of the grip you're trying to remove and the old grip actually "floats" off the bar.

Years ago I hung around a motocross bike workshop. The chief mechanic looks after several race bikes for various pros and changes bar grips regularly. He uses compressed air for both installation and removal at the shop or at the racetrack. Has to be DRY - no liquid or lube of any sort, for immediate and secure adhesion. Prior to lock-on grips, this is the best way. Some solvents can decompose certain rubber types. Those guys were just having fun and good on them. Motorcycle mechanics and assembly plant crews pop those things in or out in one quick snap with compressed air.
