    Rocky Mountain Australia Warranty

Hi Jose, I'm considering getting a Rocky Mountain... my only real concern being warranty in Australia. How did you go in the end?

    YDX-MORO finance offer

First time I've seen something like this in Australia, eMTB on 1% finance. Have to say if I was in the market, this one would be up there. Looks like a decent bike for decent $$$ too.

Has your EMTB made you fitter, or kept you as fit, as your regular MTB?

If were talking about the same distance/terrain covered, then yeah sure I would agree. I mean, more work done over longer term = fitter. Myself I always ride much further and longer on the ebike vs regular bike. If I rode the same distance I'd be done in 40 mins max... lol To be honest sounds...

Quite possibly your fitness in handling the bike downhill has improved though. This would be apparent if your times have improved. Your ability to grind up hills with no motor would be less simply because you haven't been doing that. It's a specific thing, not general fitness. It doesn't mean...

Disagree. Aerobic fitness -> zone 2/3 work - easy to get more on an ebike as you can choose to avoid high intensity pedaling so ebike wins Anaerobic/high intensity pedaling -> this just depends how hard you push the pedals, you could granny gear and work less on a regular bike than standing up...

Gym goers, need some advice - arm pump

I disagree, I think it can make it better. I think being stronger and having well-conditioned muscles would help with arm pump. As in, the arm is going to take longer to fatigue given the same work. Just makes sense. I agree technique/over tensioning is probably the cause more often though, but...

    Race organizers against eMTBs

Well I mean they are lycra clad dudes who like pedalling competitions. These are dirt roadies. They probably don't even spend time descending rough trails or like getting airborne. I mean wtf :) Of course there's going to be elitists in there... leave them to it...

Gym goers, need some advice - arm pump

I would really have thought exercises like heavy deadlifts would be excellent for forearm pump. I do deadlifts with both hands pronated to mimic the bars. Myself I found 35mm bars knackered my forearms on long descents. Looks like you're using 31mm in the video anyway though. I would also say...

Worst thing you bought for your Ebike .

Hmm, I wonder if there could possibly be a link between the 157 rear and the coil stanchion problem you mentioned? Or perhaps the frame alignment issue, or bearing wear? :) Surprised they warrant it all for you. Do you put the standard stroke on before you take it in or did they just not notice? :)

Worst thing you bought for your Ebike .

Well, yeah I wasn't really recommending the Kenevo or the Sam2, just using them as examples of bigger burlier bikes. I think if I had need I'd be looking at the Sam2, looks like a tank, I did consider one for a while because great value spec too, but it's just too much for around here. I agree...

Worst thing you bought for your Ebike .

I really don't think it's the weight, assuming the construction is such that it accounts for the weight. If it's built and sprung well enough the weight is moot. It's just engineering, right? A 140kg moto doesn't snap all the time, because it's built right. The second point though, that Ebike...

Well, it'll be interesting to see what bike you find that copes a lot better with that kind of beating... Good luck with that search... FWIW, the Bontrager carbons are worth a look if you've been bending alloy wheels. It's a huge difference in strength. They actually take big impacts without so...
