    Power input of the rider

Thread resurrection with FYI for anyone else trying to find a way of getting rider power on Shimano. Tried the Stages XT crank off my XC bike on the E8000 and the power meter sensor doesn't get anywhere near clearing the motor housing.

    2020 - Meta Power

The new SX will be the perfect partner to my current 29er Meta. 600Wh and even 700Wh batteries are not big enough for most of the rides I like to do so still being only a 500Wh keeps the overall weight of a bike and two batteries down a bit compared to bigger batteries. Shame they've swapped...

STUnlocker (ex Shimano STEPS Unlocker) Android & Windows App for derestriction/market change and etc

I have 4.6.1 and can easily swap between UK and US regions Albez. There are reset to default buttons on pretty much everything however whilst I can't access the speed limit adjust screen due to my firmware revision I suspect that they would be present there as well. Can anyone on the older...

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

That's the same with this Android app. £1.49 gets you assist and torque level adjustment. 30 Euro gets you the speed limit adjustment depending on your firmware.

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

Emax is fine if you've got an iPhone. I don't know how much they charge for the full license to allow region and wheel size changes.

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

I took the plunge and bought the 30 Euro license. It all worked as it should for me. US limit set in FW 4.6.1 and a quick ride round the block to verify all in about 30 mins. Many thanks Vadll. I've now uninstalled the official Shimano app to make sure I don't upgrade my motor firmware any...

STUnlocker Android App for Shimano motors is available

App connected fine and I've adjusted the power settings to my liking. That in itself has saved me buying a Shimano interface. Now I'm just waiting for a reply on how I pay the license fee so I can set my bike to 4.6.1 software to US region.

2019 Commencal Meta Power on order :D

I went the other way on my 9'er. DMR Defy Stem for 15mm extra rise on top of the top of the short cut steerer and a 38mm rise bar on the original 150mm fork. I'd prefer 160mm coil forks but that's a whole different ball game price wise.

The Highly Anticipated And Much Awaited Ride At Cannock If Only We Can Find A Date We All Agree On And It Isn't Chucking It Down.

Just traded the Mrs having the car tomorrow for taking the ebike with us when we head for a week long break in the Highlands next month. Have a great ride guys.

Survey: does the emtb make you a more adventurous rider

Voted NO, fall in c. above. I am however adventuring further and to more places on my eMTB than I have done for many a year on any of my normal bikes.

Range Hacking, it's come to this.

4st (56lb) lost since I retired last June. Still having another 2st (28lb) to go just to not be classed as overweight should tell you how large I'd become although at 6ft4 it didnt show quite as much as it would on a Hobbit. Strava times have tumbled on all my local climbs even on the pedal MTB...

The Highly Anticipated And Much Awaited Ride At Cannock If Only We Can Find A Date We All Agree On And It Isn't Chucking It Down.

Thanks for making the effort to plan this and even more thanks for pre riding them! I'll be awaiting the recon reports before making a final commitment. I've been on enough off piste Chase rides to know that I enjoy them much more when the trails are drier.

    Carrying a spare battery?

I use a similar pack to R120 only the BA3 E protect version. Got it for £125 off Amazon. It holds enough of gear to be used as a full day pack or to supplement a bar roll and seat pack when bike packing. As well as the bags main storage compartments and dividers, of which there are many, the...

YT Decoy first ride review: A brilliant ebike with outstanding performance

I know a certain UK battery specialist who has been re-celling high end mtb lighting packs for over a decade as a part of his business is chomping at the bit waiting for ebike batteries to need repacking/upgrading.
