Midges shouldn't be out at the beginning of May though ..some folks are saying they are out already ( Kielder ) ..not true ..there are some larger flying insects but don't expect midges until the end of May ..

Hi Howie .. While we are probably too far North for you in terms of where we normally ride ( Northumberland , Borders, Lakes , N Yorks) ..we have a core group of riders who meet up fairly regularly .. A few of us are meeting at Whinlatter trail centre on 20th April and you would be more than...
