Don’t know what’s going on with the correct paint department. Bren bought a new track a year and a half ago and my bike rack started rubbing it down to the aluminum almost instantly. Same rack used with my older trip and other bikes never had any issues.

1700 wh charging a 504 wh battery. With the power lost converting to ac it's more like a 1400 wh battery.

Not my experience. I'm regularly passed by pedal-only bikers. Not on long hill climbs, of course, but it happens often enough to keep my humble.

Degrease after every ride? That sounds detrimental, not to mention a little OCD!

I would clean it with my Park chain cleaner before I removed it and lightly oil it, and then store it in a plastic ziplock bag.

I think I would have just cleaned the second chain instead of replacing it. How about this strategy? Start with a new chain and run it until 0.5 stretch, then replace with a new chain and run until 0.75 stretch, and then replace with first chain and run it until 0.75, and then replace everything?

It's hard to say exactly as their is power loss in converting from battery power to AC, but I think you could safely charge 2 batteries at once. Quick done-in-my-head math says you may or may not get 2 full charges, but not much more. This is assuming you have a lithium battery. If it's...
