I wouldn’t except anything brand new either a scratch that big ! Ask the shop to do the touch up paint repair and go from there .

I would put it back to standard then sell the bits !

Why not a 38 and I would go 170mm instead of 160mm then if you fancy a full 29er you can up it back to 180 👌

A 29 wheel might fit but when fully compressed but the crown to tyre gap won’t be enough for a safe ride hence why they make wheel specific forks . You could change the lowers to 29 for that extra room but probably easier to sell them and buy some 29ers . As for the shock I’m not 100% but think...
