E-bike speed restrictions (agree or disagree )

Circa 25% sounds like a lot to me.

E-bike speed restrictions (agree or disagree )

To be fair the current system works for me. I’ve been able to have my bikes de restricted and it hasn’t effected the warranty. It doesn’t change my speed much compared to my normal bikes, I just don’t have to pedal through the limiter The irony is that my eMTB has far better traction and...

E-bike speed restrictions (agree or disagree )

Isn't this and eMTB forum? I thought the idea is that our bikes provide motor assistance to help us go further and faster? I swim, cycle and run so fitness is not a problem. The U.K. limit is rubbish, my eMTB is much more fun now it’s been removed. It’s that simple.

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo to levo sl

That’s why I love FF. It’s a totally different experience, ploughing up and down hills. I don’t want to hang with MTBs (I’ve got my MTB for that), I want to get 3x the riding in.

E-bike speed restrictions (agree or disagree )

A video that manages to to be totally dull and reckless at the same time is quite and achievement. This just supports the"male idiot theory" (MIT). Frankly, restrictions or not, people like this are always going to exist. FYI - for me the US limit of 20mph is perfect, the U.K./EU 15.5mph is...

Levo SL Gen 1 Levo to levo sl

Ride a normal MTB if you’re worried about fitness. For me the SL is a great do it all bike, but why have one when you could have more 🤣. I love switching between my MTB and eMTB. Spend too much time on my eMTB and the first 20 min are always a bit of a challenge on my MTB 😅

E-bike speed restrictions (agree or disagree )

Honestly wouldn’t bother with an eMTB if it was restricted, well, maybe I would be waiting for the next generation of lightweight eBikes. I pedal to my local trails so the 15mph limit just holds me back, and saps the fun out of some of the trails. If I lived in the mountains it would be a...

    Cycling on pavements...

Unfortunately that’s a large slice of the British public, rules outweigh common sense - unless their the ones breaking them….. We’re continuously being told to be greener and the government is helping subsidise £100K >2 ton EVs for us to sit in traffic. I would have thought a far more serious...

    20kg full-fat Ebike?

Definitely, I love the way a full fat ploughs through stuff, up and down. My regular MTB skips and crawls in comparison. Both equally great.

Full Fat or New Gen Lites

i think it depends on how many bikes you’re fortunate enough to own - why not both of you have the cash 🤑 For a one bike approach I would be going lightweight. However, as I still ride my MTB it’s full fat all the way, a lightweight is too much of a halfway house. I find my sub 14kg pedal...

Anyone regretted switching to an emtb?

I sold my first emtb a couple of years back. At the time I was a fit as a butchers dog and enjoyed the grind. I didn’t dislike my Ebike, I just found it less rewarding. Fast forward a few years. I’ve now got a young family, with less time on my hands, I’ve just bought another eMTB. I still ride...

Article Is the Shimano EP8 a bad motor?

It seems totally hit and miss across all manufacturers in terms of reliability. I’ve been off eMTBs for a couple years, my last bike having the e8000 - I have no major complaints but I was always pretty aware that if something happened it was going to be a total pain. Last weekend I was...
