Haha. Fortunately, Fezzari is just down the street so I should be able to get help quickly enough. But, if I have motor problems, I’ll be in the same boat as everyone else.

I read that the EP8 requires EP8 specific cranks, but I don’t recall where I read it. Ill see if I can find it.

I really wanted a Pro for me and an Elite for my wife. But, because the Elite was back ordered until May, I also put a down payment on another Pro. We’ll pull back on one bike before we have to pay the balance in January. Unless you all think I need a spare? ?

I confirmed the Fezzari Wire Peak will be getting the EP8 as soon as the motors are available but they are making no changes to the frame or battery capacity. They are sticking with the 504 wh battery to keep the weight down.

Sorry for the false alarm. I was really hoping for an update from Shimano just before the Fezzari announcement. Oh, well. Hopefully it will happen soon. Based on other OEMs clues, it could be the end of August. Here’s to hoping for that. Did you ever buy an eMTB or are you still waiting like me?

While we do certainly have our share of crazy, stupid laws, at least we are allowed to go up to 32km/h (20 mph) for Class 1 kit. Regardless, there does appear to be room for some reasonable laws and responsible riding that would make everyone (not) happy.

Did you ever get any more info on the Wire Peak? Did you end up buying an eMTB? I just got a message that Fezzari is announcing something BIG on Wednesday, 22 July 2020. I'm really hoping it's an updated Wire Peak with the rumored Shimano EP8 motor, but no one knows for sure. When they do...
