Rob:
When you review them side by side can you please comment on the natural ride quality. To clarify the Levo SL feels just like an acoustic bike with super strong legs. This really can’t be understated and both the Shimano, Brose, and Bosch feel to some extent like you are dragging the bike...
So I think so much of the Levo SL Orbea Rise debate will focus on can the Rise replicate the non ebike feel of the SL. You can yap all day about specs power etc... but specialized have created some voodoo with the SL that makes it not feel like an ebike, it feels like a regular bike and you are...
I bought some 155mm hope ebike cranks for my regular Levo But unfortunately the Levo SL uses a different interface I think praxis called it the M30 spline instead of ISiS. Annoying that they felt they needed to change from the Bosch brose standard. In any event has anyone had luck finding...
So what bikes have you compared this to? This is not a dig but a lot of bikes will feel amazing coming off a 17’ Levo no matter how much you upgraded it. Wondering how you feel it compares to the decoy, keenevo, or even a newer overworked Levo. How does it handle lower angle flowier trails, I...
I just got the praxis carbon that come on the sworks since I didn’t want to spend a bunch of time figuring out compatibility. I’m skeptical of the savings but looking at the weights online it seems right. Almost like the Al are intentionally heavy.
I have some more ride observations but first.
A few sneaky weight savings I’ve found. The praxis AL cranks on the expert are a full 1.5lbs more than the carbon cranks on the sworks. Considering they both have carbon rims this almost completely accounts for the weight savings. I added carbon...
February 4th 2020, the day non electric mountain bikes became obsolete. Bought it, love it. Maybe the best bike I’ve ridden. As much snap out of corners as my evil offering and power to take the sting out of any climb. Biggest overlooked point compared to my 19 Levo is if it’s turned off...
Hmm, I thought I was going to drop some news but yeah sources say early next week, and I heard 9 pounds lighter but that might have been a round up from the 3.8kg just quoted which is like 8.3 lbs. But I heard something even more exciting but that’s for 2021... not exciting enough to pass on...
Yeah just a guess but specialized isn’t messing around I don’t think they are going for a modest weight reduction, but every g under 39 pounds is likely to add a dollar a gram to the price
So, news is starting to leak. Sounds like an apple style launch is forthcoming with the bikes available to purchase the day of the launch and very soon.
I could tell you but they’d have to kill me. Rob also alluded to it in his Creo text review. I live about 30 miles from specialized headquarters, it’s a secret not a secret at my local shop and it’s been seen in person by people I trust. I hear it’s not a replacement for the Levo as that’s...
