Profiles, etc. Don't get me wrong, i love the bike. My expectation is that it comes with the screen which is made for the EP8, not a retrofitted cheaper option from the E7000.

What's wrong with it? It's not even made for the ep8 motor and requires adaptors to retrofit it to the new motor. Also losing access to the extra features you would get from the proper screen

Maybe i am being fussy, but SLX cassette and E7000 screen/controls should not be on this bike. Bit of a let down, all else looks great.

Why would less features be a benefit? You know you can still click the shift levers... only once... on any type of shifter?

If you're running a Shimano cassette... Only use a Shimano chain, they don't shift well otherwise. XTR CN-M9100 is best bet, lasts the longest and doesn't rust like the the cheaper chains. Not a great deal more expensive either

Dont suppose the lowers are pressurising, have you tried opening the bleed valves?

I believe the float x runs at lower pressure than dpx2 also. EDIT - approx, on average, 40psi less than dpx2 at a given sag.

Is the aux power/light function enabled? This can cause this behaviour. You can check/switch it off with stunlocker.

I recently replaced a 150mm Fox transfer with a 185mm BikeYoke Divine. Super low stack height means you can easily fit a bigger drop in the same space. Works fantastically too, super smooth.

Don't be fooled by the Shiny new badge on the EP8. Its the same motor as an E8000 with new smaller/lighter cases and some software tweaking. Bosch Gen4 was a complete redesign. Shimano has missed the mark with EP8 and they have just updated the old E8000 to be relevant on paper.
