Integrated Bosch CX 800Wh super-trail/enduro eMTB

The Scott Patron eRIDE 2024 is a carbon enduro eMTB built around Bosch's Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor with Scott's signature TwinLoc shock control system and a 750 Wh removable PowerTube. Headline numbers: 170 mm of fork travel, 160 mm at the rear, 26.2 kg claimed on the 910 trim, 24.6 kg on the lighter 900 trim, 85 Nm of Bosch torque, a 65 degree head angle and reach progressing 433 mm on S, 446 mm on M, 474 mm on L and 501 mm on XL. The community framing is mature: Patron eRIDE owners are well-documented on the forum, with strong reports of chassis quality but consistent warnings about service complexity.
Drive system and range. The Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 brings 85 Nm of torque and uses the SmartSystem with a removable 750 Wh PowerTube. A user named pdrew reports achieving 850 km of cumulative range on a Scott Patron eRide with the 750 Wh pack: solid long-term distance data. Scott's TwinLoc handlebar remote integrates with the Fox NUDE T shock to give three on-the-fly settings (Lockout, Traction Control, Descend) on the higher 900 trim. @NeilJPatron documents the related ST Tuned variant with Bosch CX-Race motor delivering 85 Nm "instantly with a quarter turn of crank" in Race mode, useful and dangerous in equal measure for new riders.
Geometry and handling. A 65 degree head angle is moderate by 2024 standards, steeper than the typical 64.5 degree mainstream enduro norm. Reach steps 433 mm on S, 446 mm on M (note: an unusually small jump of 13 mm to M is the standout), 474 mm on L and 501 mm on XL. The 454 mm chainstay is held constant across all sizes. Wheelbase 1218 to 1306 mm. @Swissrider notes the Patron's geometry is closer to a Kenevo and away from the longer Trek Rail proportions: useful for shorter riders who don't want to be stretched. With 170 mm of fork and 160 mm of rear travel, the Patron is positioned as a long-travel enduro tool rather than a quick-handling trail bike.
Build and value. Two trims. The 910 at £6349, 26.2 kg, with Fox 38 Float Performance fork, Float EVOL eRIDE shock with TwinLoc, Shimano SLX BR-M7120 four-piston brakes and SRAM GX Eagle AXS. The 900 at £7299, 24.6 kg, steps up to Fox 38 Float Performance Elite eMTB+ with FIT4 damper, Fox NUDE T eRIDE custom-tuned with TwinLoc, Shimano XT BR-M8120 four-piston brakes with Ice-Tech pads and Ice-Tech rotors and a mixed SRAM Eagle X01/GX/NX drivetrain. The 900 is the value pick: 1.6 kg lighter, better suspension, better brakes for £950 extra. Note: @NeilJPatron records the related ST Tuned at £10500 RRP for the top-tier integrated Syncros cockpit and Kiox 300 display.
Community-verified strengths. Three things owners praise. The TwinLoc system is genuinely useful for technical climbs into long descents: the on-the-fly Lockout/Traction Control/Descend lever is an active rather than passive feature. Range is solid: pdrew's 850 km cumulative on a 750 Wh pack supports the bike's real-world long-distance brief. And the chassis quality stays well-engineered: @NeilJPatron progressed from blue to red trails as confidence built on the platform.
Caveats and known gripes. Three honest flags. Internal cable routing on the Patron has been a sore point. @MartinFa documents that gear-cable replacement requires dropping the motor out of the frame: a real workshop time-sink. @dotcodotuk notes the Patron uses thinner-than-standard Jagwire housings for shift cables. @Excalibur's SX-to-NX shifter upgrade is a common fix path: factor in that the stock SRAM SX shifter on the 910 feels vague and many owners upgrade. And the Bosch Gen 4 motor (not Gen 5) is now last-generation: buyers should weigh the bike against a Gen 5-equipped rival at a similar price.
Verdict. The Scott Patron eRIDE 2024 is for the rider who wants a properly equipped Bosch SmartSystem enduro eMTB with Scott's TwinLoc on-the-fly suspension control and a 750 Wh removable battery, and is happy with Gen 4 motor and complex internal cabling at this price point. If you want the latest Bosch CX Gen 5 or simpler workshop access, look at a Cannondale Moterra LT, Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 or Specialized Levo. Production status is current.
