Carbon-framed Bosch CX Gen 4 trail eMTB sold direct via Bike-Discount with aggressive value pricing.

The Radon Render 2024 is the German direct-sale brand's flagship all-mountain trail eMTB, a carbon mainframe with aluminium rear triangle running 160 mm of fork and 140 mm of rear travel and built around the Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 motor. Headline numbers: 160/140 mm of travel, Bosch CX Gen 4 at 85 Nm and 600 W peak, the bigger 750 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery, 24.35 kg claimed weight in the 10.0 HD 750 spec, a 65.1 degree head angle, reach 436 to 473 mm across M, L and XL, and aggressive Bike-Discount direct pricing. The community verdict from @Ordinary Human Male is that this is a "flatter trails"-oriented all-mountain bike, sitting in the steeper-geometry, more agile end of the trail eMTB segment compared to the slacker Reign E+.
Drive system and range. The Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 at 85 Nm and 600 W peak is the previous-generation Bosch full-power unit (Gen 5 with PU2.0 now delivers 120 Nm), so the Render 2024 is one step behind the latest curve in absolute power. The 750 Wh PowerTube is the larger SmartSystem battery and is the standout range differentiator at this price point. Real-world range on 750 Wh in a 24.35 kg Bosch CX Gen 4 chassis is comfortably 35 to 45 miles in mixed terrain depending on assist mode. The motor is well-supported by Bosch dealers globally.
Geometry and handling. The 65.1 degree head angle is steeper than modern enduro norm, biased toward agile climbing and tight singletrack rather than steep-descent composure. Reach progresses 436, 456 and 473 mm across M, L and XL with a fixed 458 mm chainstay and wheelbase scaling 1220 to 1267 mm. The relatively long 458 mm rear is on the touring side for an all-mountain bike, helping climbing stability at the cost of a slightly less playful rear-centre. @Ordinary Human Male places the Render alongside the Merida eOne-Sixty 700 and Trek Rail in the "flatter trails" end of the segment, separated by visible margin from the Reign E+ in Low position.
Build and value. The flagship 10.0 HD 750 trim is the headline build, with the headline spec including a FOX 36 Factory GRIP2 160 mm Kashima fork, a FOX Float X Factory rear shock, MAGURA MT7 four-piston brakes and a wireless SRAM X01 Eagle AXS 1x12 drivetrain. This is genuinely top-shelf finishing kit at the Radon Bike-Discount direct-sale price point. @Tepi's 2025 Render 9.0 documents a 50 mm rising bar swap and a reduced phaser setting on both Fox suspension units for improved initial responsiveness. Standout for the spec value is the Fox Factory suspension and AXS drivetrain at a competitive price; questionable is the Bosch Gen 4 (rather than Gen 5) motor and the conservative 65.1 degree head angle on a 160 mm fork.
Community-verified strengths. First, the Bike-Discount direct-sale model delivers Fox Factory suspension and SRAM AXS at sub-dealer-network pricing. @Tepi reports the Render 9.0 has "Fox front and rear suspension with reduced phaser setting on both units improved initial responsiveness" once dialled in. Second, the 750 Wh battery delivers meaningful range advantage over rivals with 600 to 625 Wh packs. Third, warranty service through Bike-Discount has been responsive: @Tepi notes "Warranty replacement provided new XT derailleur shifter" via warranty channel.
Caveats and known gripes. Bosch CX Gen 4 sits one generation behind Gen 5 (120 Nm post-PU2.0), so absolute power is class-trailing. The 65.1 degree head angle is steep for a 2024 all-mountain bike at this price. The Bike-Discount direct-sale model means no local dealer for non-Bosch warranty work, which is a real practical issue if the bike develops a creak or rattle. @Alain78 on his 2020 Render reports needing to chase creaks at the headset, shock mounting and battery holder, none individually serious but worth knowing. Sizing tops out at XL (473 mm reach), so taller riders looking for 500 mm-plus need to look elsewhere.
Verdict. The Render 10.0 HD 750 is in current production through Bike-Discount and represents one of the best Fox Factory + AXS + 750 Wh value packages in the European market. Buy it if you want top-spec finishing kit at direct-sale pricing, you are comfortable with the Bike-Discount support model and you ride flatter, more flowing trails where a 65.1 degree head angle is appropriate. Look elsewhere if you want the latest Bosch CX Gen 5 motor with 120 Nm, a slacker 64-degree-or-slacker enduro front, or sizes above XL. The Render is a quietly excellent value proposition for the right kind of rider.
