Mullet e-Enduro by THOK on Shimano EP8 + 630Wh with Ohlins suspension

The Ducati TK-01RR 2025 is a full-power aluminium enduro eMTB built around the Shimano EP801 drivetrain, developed for Ducati by THOK in Italy. Headline numbers: 180 mm of fork travel, 170 mm at the rear, a 26.4 kg claimed weight, a 64.5 degree head angle, a 630 Wh removable battery and a £8999 price tag for the spec on file. This is one of the few mainstream-motor enduro eMTBs that gives you Ducati badging and Öhlins suspension as standard. No curated rider quotes are yet on file for the TK-01RR on the forum.
Drive system and range. Shimano EP801 sits at the heart of the bike with 85 Nm of torque, a 250 W nominal rating and a manufacturer-claimed 600 W peak. The EP801 is the latest evolution of Shimano's full-power unit, with smoother software and better thermal headroom than the launch EP8. Up to 400 per cent assistance is on tap across the Eco, Trail and Boost modes. The Shimano BT-E8036 630 Wh battery is removable and is small by current standards (most enduro rivals run 720 to 900 Wh in 2025) which is the bike's main range compromise. Ducati's own range claim is around 36 miles in Boost and 55 miles in Trail, which is honest if not class-leading for a 170 mm-travel enduro chassis.
Geometry and handling. A 64.5 degree head angle is at the modern-aggressive end of the enduro envelope and matches the bike's downhill-focused brief. Reach steps 423 mm on S, 439 mm on M, 464 mm on L and 491 mm on XL. That sizing curve is unusual: the S-to-M gap is only 16 mm while the L-to-XL gap is 27 mm. Riders between sizes should sit on both. The 453 mm chainstay is held constant across all sizes. With 180 mm at the front and 170 mm at the rear, this is unambiguously a long-travel point-and-shoot enduro tool rather than a quick-handling trail bike.
Build and value. Ducati publishes a single trim at £8999 for the spec we have on file. For that money you get the proper kit: 180 mm Öhlins RXF38 fork with TTX shock, a Shimano XT 12-speed transmission, Shimano XT four-piston brakes and the EP801 drive unit. The Öhlins suspension is the standout: most rivals at this price run Fox Performance or RockShox Lyrik. The trade is the 630 Wh battery (smaller than rivals') and the long-tail Ducati premium baked into the price. A separate Limited Edition specification exists with the Öhlins DH38 triple-clamp race fork.
Verdict. The Ducati TK-01RR 2025 is a niche, prestige-led enduro eMTB. Strengths are real. The Öhlins RXF38 fork and TTX shock at this price are very rare, the EP801 motor brings the latest Shimano software, the 64.5 degree head angle and 170/180 mm of travel are properly enduro-tuned, and the chassis is from THOK who know how to engineer long-travel bikes. The honest caveats are equally clear. The 630 Wh battery is now small by 2025 standards, with rivals routinely running 720 to 900 Wh: long-vert days will need a charger break or a different bike. The Ducati badge premium is real and you are paying for Italian motorcycle branding as much as components. Reach progression is uneven across sizes. And Ducati's bicycle dealer network is much thinner than Specialized, Trek or Cube, so warranty support depends on a small motorcycle-dealer footprint. The TK-01RR suits the rider who wants a beautifully made Italian enduro eMTB with Öhlins suspension and the Ducati cache, and is happy with a 630 Wh battery and a small dealer network. Riders prioritising big-battery range, strong dealer support or hardware value over branding should look at a Cube Stereo Hybrid 160, Canyon Torque:ON or Cannondale Moterra LT. Production status is current.
