Got this message in my mail today:

Dear Haibike customer,

You are receiving this information from WINORA-STAIGER GmbH on the basis of your existing eConnect registration as part of our contractually relevant communication in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit b GDPR. We will discontinue the eConnect biking app service on 15.03.2024. As a result, the app will no longer process tracking data and will no longer be available in the app store. Your personal data will be deleted by us in accordance with the regulations. Further information can be found here.

However, you can of course continue to use your Haibike as usual.
To keep an eye on your biking performance, the free accessories market has a lot to offer. Many manufacturers offer apps and devices for tracking, theft tracking, SOS contact and other services and have excellent systems in their portfolio. Your local specialist bike dealer will certainly be able to advise you in more detail.

We thank you for your trust and apologize for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our service team. Thank you for your understanding.

Good news!
Got an email from Haibike today:

Dear Haibike customer,

Last week we informed you of the discontinuation of the eConnect server operation. We were delighted by your encouragement to continue operating the app. As we take the feedback from our community very seriously, we would like to reassure you today that we are looking for an alternative solution to this situation.

We are pleased to inform you that our team is evaluating whether and how the server service can be continued as a next step. We are working together with our technicians and partners to find a sustainable and functional solution to continue the app.

Until then, eConnect will be available to you as usual. You will receive a new update from us as soon as possible.

I received both the above replies. And had further conversation with [email protected], where they suggested that eConnect should work as long as it has 2G network or the eConenct battery is drained. But to my knowledge 2G still is active in Finland but the App does not work. I think even if the service is active through Deutsche Telekom, most likely roaming is disabled and therefore it does not work in Finland. I have also replaced the battery in the eConnect but does not help. Does someone else has better theory :)
