How long do your brake pads last?

My stats so far. 100kg rider + bike (Fuel exe) SRAM code R with metallic pads. Rear lasted ~1500 km, just replaced it after a system bleed, but still had some life in them. Keeping for emergency. Front was ported from previous pedal bike. Probably did 2k km total. With the new ones installed...

How long do your brake pads last?

Of course this would vary a lot but Interested to get some numbers. What brakes model, pads type, total weight rider, bike, and how many km do the pads last before replacing.

Was at LBS today and updated the firmware of all components. Still can't see firmware versions on the TQ app. What could be the reason?

Anyone familiar with a way to charge the bike with a DC to DC power bank? Theoretically no reason for this not to exist besides adapting cables. USB PD can handle 240w, but even 100w is fine if it can charge the battery over night.

Was just considering it. Is this the V2 or V3 you are running? (The V3 is supposed to be a bit shorter)

Upgraded to 155mm cranks. Used the opportunity to also change the chainring. Following some recommendations, changes to xsync chainring paired with xo1 chain. Pedal strikes are definitely lessened. Went from 32t stock to 34t. This actually balances the change in crank length nicely. Added...

Are any special tools needs to remove the e13 alloy cranks that come on the 9.7 (besides an ln key)? Or are they "self extracting”?

    Pedal power meters on emtbs

Does it make sense to trust the power meter output of pedals to read rider output on emtbs? My understanding is that pedal based power meters depend on both the torque applied and the cadence. Cadence will be very different if it is assisted by a motor. Seems to me that only the engine can...

What size? I have 200mm front and rear, honestly its enough for 98% of what i do. Bigger rear brakes do make sense.

Does anyone use 220mm rotors on the front? Worth the upgarde, or is it overkill?

Question for over strockers. Specially 9.7 fox float. Any clearance issues on the Large frame with removing one or both spacers? Is switching the mino link to high required?

Fuel EXe Official Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Joined the club in December with an EXe 9.5/9.7 Already had 500Km on it and loving every moment. Wanted an eMTB, but one that would still make me work for it. Cleaned some climbs that were impossible on a regular MTB, but still needed to work super hard for it. What an amazing feeling. Wanted a...

Hi all, joining with a Fuel EXe 9.7-ish

Hi All, Second year of mountain biking. First year of e-mountain biking. Took me some time to properly catch the bug. Riding mostly Enduro trails. Mostly reds. Still a LOT to learn. Recently picked up a Trek Fuel EXe. Originally 9.5. Got some parts from a 9.7, and some from the traded-in Fuel...
