Your average LBS is going to be a family owned affair, not much in the way of scale & consequently going to need to appeal to a wide range of customers & you'll do that by selling a comparatively small range of middle of the road stuff & maybe a servicing/repair offer along with helmets, tubes...
More than likely it's the foam washers depositing oil & will fade as they dry out, assuming you have serviced it correctly & soaked the washers before installing. Even if not, lube is no bad thing & you shouldn't worry unless you suspect a leaking damper & that would imply seeing oil only on...
The only big online retailer to go bust in the last twelve months is CRC/Wiggle and their associated brands & if you don't know why they did, then you haven't been paying attention. The rest is just sentiment.
That's all very noble but in the real world, people love a bargain & bargains come from buying power & cost base. It's always cheaper to run a website & a warehouse than high street shops, that's not opinion, it's counting. By all means support your LBS, it's absolutely the right thing to do...
Yep, I packed in years ago but often reflect on how I injured myself much more frequently playing squash than I ever did chucking myself off Col de la Forclaz. Power lines, they're the real enemy 😂
Cans will always come out grainy by comparison to a gun & compressor but can still work out good. It's definitely an art, the biggest sin is laying on too heavily. Multiple coats like dusting works well. rather than trying to do it on one or two passes, patience is a virtue & all that but in...
General rule of thumb, flat primer, don't flat colour, buff clear coat with compound for a shiny finish. Other rule of thumb, get a gun & do it better 😃
Increasing the chanring size will make the gearing longer. I don't know your bike but you will need to research BCD & offset to ensure it fits. Bigger ring = longer chain path so you may or may not need to replace the chain. More here...
Bit of a weird one to describe, on occasion, I have experienced a situation where pressing on a pedal produces, for a split second a delayed response from the motor, enough time for it to be distinctly noticeable before the motor assists. This happened a few times last nght on a ride & it has...
I was coming & going & hadn't noticed the mullet, that's a fair point. That V10 must have felt like a pair of old Crocs to Greg. Did notice him kick the bike when he got up though :D
Her cursing all the way down the hill was beautiful. If you want to win, that's what you need inside. Greg is a head scratcher, crashing out on that berm inside line was a shock, almost like a rookie error, so out of character.
The option to mute Rick's beige, paint by numbers commentary is a blessing imo.
Something else I've just realised is Dialled has been dumped. One of the best elements of race weekend for me, I'll miss those two & their who would win out of a fight between & Marmotte & Jordi? line of enquiry.
I habitually run a rag soaked in GT85 around the chain & then, clean it off & lube it. I'll do that every ride. Practically never bother cleaning the cassette or the chain ring unless they're caked but wlll clear the jockey wheels as required.
Bruni is such a machine, one of the greats. Pleased to see Troy on the box, such a consistent rider, always missing that little 1% of pace, maybe it's coming together for him this year.
